Shawn and I went back into the lobby and talked with Chris and his friend Austin for awhile. I had to wait for all the kids to leave the merch table so i could go and talk to Zach. Cause of course we had to sit down and chat ya know. So when there was no one at the VR table, I went over there and talked to Zach. Have I mentioned how awesome he is? What a cool guy. He told me to pull up a chair next to him, so that's what I did. He thanked me for coming out again. We talked about how there weren't many people at the 40 Watt show (the last time he saw me) and he said that the Brand New show they played here was really good. I told him how bad i felt that had to miss that show but that his letter and picture made me feel a lot better. He said that he gave a shout out to me at that show too. I told them that they sounded really good, and that next time I'm making a set list for them of the songs I want to her, and he was like, "yeah do it! That would be cool." He said that once they start headling they'll get to play The White Nightmare, which is a great song. Then i mentioned to him that i saw the spot for this tour that they're on one day on MTV2. He smiled and said, "Oh yeah? I haven't seen it yet. Isn't it weird to see us on tv?" and I said that it was.
Zach introduced me to Michael, who plays bass, so that was cool. In between our talking kids were coming up and telling him that he did a good job and they bought some merch here and there. Zach asked me if I had the new Shatterday EP and i said no and i asked how much it was. But then he just gave me a copy, as a trade for the cd i gave to him. Haha. Zach rocks. I was telling him about the songs I put on the cd i made for him and he said that someone had actually told him about [minus] (i put hesitant and polite on there because Zach's a HUGE fan of Jonah's). And he saw my the Ghost button on my bag and asked who they were and i said that they were on the cd, so he could listen to them. He said he's been getting a lot of cds on tour and can't wait to listen to them all. Then Chris came over so i introduced them, and Zach said that he liked Chris' Deftones Sacto jacket, and said that he'd love to tour with them some day. Then he started talking about all of the other bands he'd like to tour with, Marilyn Manson being his top choice. Zach said that they just got an X-Box in the van and so everyone's been playing games on that. Chris and him then started talking about video games and i was like, "yeah i dont know what you're talking about." And Zach was like, "Do you play video games?" and i said "No, but i had a nintendo when i was little." and he said, "Nintendo is awesome!" and he said that he's a nerd and loves to play video games.
I dont know what we were talking about, maybe a band or something, and zach said that oh you might like them, since we like the same kind of stuff. and i was like, "aww, you remembered." haha. I'm a nerd. I saw Casey for a split second so she came over to the table and i gave her a hug. It was cool to finally meet her. I told Zach earlier that we had been IMing each other for the past few days and he was like, "What's IMing?" So i explained Instant Messenger to him and he was saying how he never goes online and hasn't even checked his email in like two months. haha. So when i mentioned IMing again, he was like, "Oh. IMing, Instant Messenger, i got it now." hehe. he cracks me up. Then he went away to smoke a cigarette and so he asked me to watch the table for him. As he was away, Shawn said he wanted to buy a shirt and so i was looking for the size he wanted. But there were so many shirts and I couldn't find them. And so when Zach came back, Chris was all like, "She's doing a bad job. She's not fast enough." and Zach was like, "Shaliza, you're fired!" haha. And i said, "I can't help it, i dont know where anything is!" But Zach found the right shirt right away of course. I had Chris take a picture of us together, and i bought a shirt too. Zach has given me so much stuff for free, i had to buy something from him this time. Then his pass fell out of his pocket, and he was like, "Do you want it?" so i said sure. Then some kids came over for pictures and so i got up so that they could get next to Zach. Then Casey walked by again and said Erik asked about me, so I wanted to go and find him to say hello. So i asked Zach if he knew where he was and he said probably backstage. And Zach was like, "You can go back there and check since you have a pass." Ah HA! that I did. So i flashed the guard the pass and went backstage and gave Erik a hug and hung out back there for awhile. talked to Casey and her sister for awhile. They're really cool. I met this other girl named Kelly who was really nice. She works for Sony, and is going to be at the Zwan show. After I was back there for awhile, i left. Said goodbye to Zach on the way out and that was it. I had a great time. Vendetta Red were so awesome live and Shawn liked them which i was happy about. Can't wait to see them again.
