| This was my first time going to Under the Couch. This is a venue where lots of hardcore and punk bands play. It is located on the Georgia Tech Campus downtown. I was very excited about this show, because I hadn't seen Poison the Well in a couple of months and I couldn't wait to stare at Chris, maybe go talk to him. They told us that the doors would open at 7. Melina said "NOT" because she said that under the couch was stupid and there's no way that they would be ready to start at 7. Melina picked me up from the Doraville station around 7:15 and we made our way downtown. We got to the Georgia Tech campus and though Melina had been to UTC before, she had a hard time finding the place. No wonder! It was tucked away hidden between some buildings near the tennis courts. When we arrived, there were already about maybe 50 kids there, just standing around. Melina was supposed to meet Cory there. She told him that she'd be with a black girl. He told her that he'd be wearing a blue hat. We saw so many people with blue hats on, and we couldn't tell if he was there or not. Then, this kid in a blue hat walked out of UTC with another kid who had green plaid pants. Melina said, "That's Cory." But because she's a nerd she wouldn't even go up and talk to him. So we just sat around and looked at some people. We noticed how all the hardcore girls looked the same: Short cute little haircuts, close fitting shirts, tight flared jeans, and Converse/Adidas/Puma shoes. After awhile, Melina wanted to call Jeremy to see if maybe he could come. He had told her that Dru was going to come, even though he didn't know any of the bands that were playing. But he heard the buzz about PTW from people so he wanted to check them out. So we went around looking for a phone, and a soda machine because Melina was thirsty. We found neither. When we came back from walking around, Melina saw Cory and his friend walking away. She wondered where they were going so we went to follow them. We walked up this hill to where our car was and then we saw them. We went over to them and said hi. They were looking for something to drink as well. So we all hopped in Cory's car and went to a near by gas station where they got stuff to drink, and Josh, Cory's friend, got these apple gummy holes. We were driving back and eating the green gummies and when we passed by UTC, we saw that PTW were there. There had been some concern that they wouldn't be there, but they were, so it was all good. I saw Jeff. Melina saw Jeff and Chris, but I didn't see Chris. We were driving kinda slow so Josh stuck out his hand and offered Chris an apple gummy. But Cory drove away before Chris could get one. Melina told Josh that Chris was about to take one. Oh well. Cory parked the car and we got out. Melina was very excited to know that PTW were indeed there. We were talking about Chris and how we couldn�t wait to see him play. Melina said that he looked even cuter than last time, but I hadn't seen him so I didn't know. We went back to where all the kids were and sat on this ledge. Chris walked by and Josh went up to him and offered him an apple gummy. "Are you sure you don't want one?" he asked. "Yeah I�m sure, thanks," Chris said. "But they're really good," Josh said. So Chris took one and thanked him. Then Chris walked by again and said to Josh, "Hey man, can I have another one of those?" So Josh gave him another one. Then right before Chris was about to leave Josh pointed to Melina and said, "Hey she thinks you're really hot." Hahaha. And Chris said, "Uhh." and then Josh said, "No she told me she thinks you're cute." And Chris said, "Oh ok, cool." Melina was shocked that Josh did that. She was like, "What are we in high school?" But she didn't seem to be bothered or embarrassed by it, which is good. I mean it was all in good fun. But Chris, my god he looked SOO hot! He had on jeans, and a sleeveless gray shirt. The blonde streaks in his hair were gone from last time, but he looked very slick with his brown hair kinda laid back. He looked like one of those rebel kids from the 50's or something. Like he should�ve been in Rebel Without A Cause with James Dean. Chris also has really awesome arms (because he's the drummer) *SWOON* Hehe�anyway, he walked back and forth a bunch of times but we didn�t' say anything to him for the rest of the night. Personally, I didn't know what to say to him. And he knew some kids there anyway, some girls, so he was talking to them a lot. It was nice just looking at him. You don't see someone that beautiful everyday. So we continued sitting there just chatting and stuff. Then we decided to go inside. We paid our $7 and they wrote a number on the back of our hands. Melina was 173, I was 174. The cool thing with UTC is that you can go in and out as you please. That's why they give everyone a number when they come in, to see who's already to paid. And because it can get very hot in there, it's important that you can get in and out of there. | |||||||
