| Tori was amazing. Jason picked me up a little after 6. When we got to the Fox, it was the middle of intermission. So we thought we missed Roofus Wainwright. I later found out from Melina that Roofus didnt open the show, but instead the lead singer of the New Radicals played his acoustic guitar. She said it was good, but I dont really like that guy. Anyway, the song '97 Bonnie & Clyde opened Tori's set. Its from her new album and its actually an Eminem cover. Then Tori came out and the curtain came down and everyone screamed. She played Past The Mission, Upside Down, Take To The Sky, China, I Don't Like Mondays, Beauty Queen, Horses, Leather, Lust, Rattlesnakes, This Old Man/Crucify, Marianne, Me and a Gun, Over The Rainbow. Letter and China really stood out to me when I heard them. The things this woman can do on the piano and the things she can do with her voice are just amazing. The most powerful song she performed though was Me and a Gun. Which is about when she was raped. She sang it acapella and the whole room was so still and quiet. And you could just feel what she went through. She did two encores in which she played Enjoy the Silence, a great Depeche Mode song, and Landslide, a Fleetwood Mac classic. I actually cried during Landslide. It was absolutely breath taking. Other songs in her encores were Baker Baker, Beulah Land, and Playboy Mommy. When it was over, everyone was just blown away and crying. The next time shes in town, Im so there. Im so happy I went, or else I never wouldve realized just how amazing she is. I didnt get back home till about 12:45. But I was out like a light when I hit the bed. | |||||
