| So last night was [minus] and I had a good time. Melina and Cory picked me up around 7:15 and we motored downtown to try and catch the [video] for the song pressurized. When we got to the place where they were showing it, we didn't know which room to go into. We heard the music so we just followed the sound and eventually found the room, where the video was like 3/4 over. But we got to see most of it later on so it's ok. It's a REALLY REALLY good video. It's all professional and shit, it's tight as hell. We stayed at this studio place for a good while, just eating and drinking (soda for me) and hanging out. Chronic MD were there, the left field crew, Akeem...but the fold guys weren't there. Jeremy said they had a bachelor party to go to. Oh speaking of Jeremy, he has decided to quit drinking and smoking. Wild huh? He's trying to lose weight and says that he's going to start playing hockey again. I think he really stopped because of a certain musician by the name of Daryl Palumbo. Hehe. just kidding. But now Daryl won't take Jeremy's cigarette and stomp it out on the ground, although Jeremy said if Daryl did that to him he'd say, "Oh my god! That's so cool" Haha. After a while, we all made our way to the Masquerade which was like 100 yards away. Janelle bless her heart, came to the show, even though she�s on crutches. She made it up the stairs of the masquerade pretty quickly, and when she reached the top we clapped for her. Hehe. Inside I think cloud 10 was on stage. Wasn't paying too much attention to them. Next was Smugface who we all hate. But they were actually better from last time. All of their songs are so damn long. Seems like they played 5. It's hard to tell because their songs don�t really seem to end. It's like a constant improv thing, and heaven knows how I hate that jam band thing. It's been infesting Athens for years. I tried to watch them for awhile, 'cause Akeem said the bassist (who was wearing an nsync shirt) moved around a lot on stage. But after two songs I got bored and went to hang out with Janelle, Melina, Chris, Cory, Brad, and Jody. They were all in the back near the bar. I chilled back there for awhile. Made fun of Smugface until it was time to go up front for [minus]. Unfortunately, since they weren't headlining, their set was really short. They opened with Enemy, and closed with Nuill. They also played, Balls, Father's Eyes, Light Years, Stranded, and Half Mile. Like I said, short set. But it was good. They're always good. We left after [minus] so we didn't see Gruvinhi. Then Cory and Melina brought me home, and that's its. | ||||||
