Phish
Sunday July 4th, 1999- Lakewood Amphiteater: Atlanta, GA
I dont really know if I have much to say about this show. I dont like Phish and I only went because Stephanie wanted me to go.  How could I say no to a free ticket?  Her boyfriend was in town and he was a big Phish Phan.  They had an extra ticket so I went.  There were tons of hippies everywhere of course! I think I enjoyed watching the people around me, way more than the music.  Stephanie, her boyfriend and I just chilled out on the grass.  I saw lots of kids from St. Pius, mostly Seniors, there doing stuff that they REALLY shouldnt have been doing.  There were lots of people dancing and acting all weird of course.  And there were lots of really young kids there. I mean like 3 and 4 years old. This one little kid was throwing marshmallows at people, which I thought was really funny.  We didnt stay for the whole show which made me happy because I really wasnt feeling the whole hippie sixties vibe.  While we were leaving, some girl asked for my ticket stub to see if she could get into Lakewood. So I gave it to her. Everyone thought that was really nice of me. Wasnt a big deal, really.  Phish isnt for everyone.  I will give them one thing, though.  The Ben and Jerrys ice-cream named after them is absolutely divine.  Second semester in College when I was taking Math Modeling, I walked into class to see some kids from the previous class collecting their belongings. One kid had a Stuck Mojo shirt on with one of those Grateful Dead dancing bears on the front of his shirt.  On the back of the shirt read, Jerrys dead, Phish sucks, Get a job.  Stuck Mojo I thought that was pretty funny.  And thats all I have to say.
