| Yeah so anyway, yesterday afternoon I got online at about 3:45 and Akeem asked me if Im going tonight. And I asked, "What's tonight." And he said, "Piston Honda at the Masquerade...and Nonpoint's playing too!" i had totally forgotten about that show. But I wasnt going to go because Melina was in Athens and Janelle was in Florida. Well at least thats what I thought. Akeem offered to pick me up so that I could go, but as we were talking about it, I got disconnected and the phone immediately rang. It was my moms friend Tina. I decided to go take a shower. When I came out, my mom said that Janelle called. And I thought, "that's weird, she's in florida, why is she calling?" So i called her back and she said that she and Kiddie didn't make it to Florida because 2 of the tires on their rental car went flat, and they had to get a tow truck, and get new tires, and Kiddie suggested that after all that, that they should put off going to Florida until today. So since they were still in town, she asked if I wanted to go to Nonpoint. I said definitely. My mom wasn't too happy about it. She said, "God's more important you know." I wish she could just let it go once. I told her that we could goto church Sunday if it was really so important that I go. But she said, "No I'm already dressed for Church." anyway, she left to go to Church, and I got ready to go to the North Springs station. I caught the bus across the street, and went to the East Point Station. Now there was either something really messed up with the trains, or I was just getting my godsmack for not going to church, but I needed to catch a North Springs train, and all that was coming were Doraville ones. This has never happened to me before, so i was a tad worried. After the third one, I called Janelle to let her know what was up. We both thought it was best if I just switched trains at Lindbergh and that's what I did. So i got up to North Springs at like 7. Kiddie and Janelle rolled on over to North Springs in this phat ass car with the top down. They were big pimpin' like Jay-Z. Haha. it was cool. we went to Walmart before going down to the Masquerade. When we got inside, we saw Brandon and Akeem down in front watching Piston Honda. Their set was really good. I kinda wish I had gotten their cd, but I had no place to put it. Well I'll get it eventually. After their set, we walked around the Masquerade looking at the various bands playing. We went up to the top floor (heaven) and stayed there for ahwile. Janelle and Kiddie played pool, and I was spying Elias over at the merch booth. He's still super sexy, as always. At one point we saw two girls in just these absolutely crazy outfits. Fishnets, and crazy high heels, and latex skirts, and pushed up boobs. We later found out that they were in the Impotent Sea Snakes, who actually own the Masquerade. They were playing at 11 so we were gonna get the chance to see their crazy show. At another point in the night, Kiddie and Janelle went down stairs and they ran into Robb, and he noticed that Kiddie was in Georgia and not in Michigan. Then Elias walked by and he saw Kiddie and gave her a hug, but didn't seem to realize that it was strange that she was in Georgia. Haha, that was pretty funny. Back in Heaven, the Impotent Sea Snakes went on, and we went up front. All I can say is wow. Drag Queens, and fire, and half naked women, and candle wax, and dildos, and flying condoms, and people hanging in the air...it was just outrageous. There I was skipping out on Church, and watching something like that. Wild. I've never seen anything like that in my life. This one guy on stage, was totally taken with Kiddie. Hehe. I think she got scared for a little bit. When they brought out a huge cross, Janelle and I decided that it was time for us to go to the back. We sat there for awhile, then went downstairs, where we saw Jordan. I can't believe that he actually came! That's pretty cool. Nonpoint went on at about 11. Wow, they were so awesome. That was about the 7th time I've seen them. They played Mindtrip, Circles, Your Signs, Endure, Victim, What A Day, Orgullo, Development, My Own Sake, Excessive Reaction, Hive, Normal Days, and Back up. I think that's the longet set I've ever watched them play. But it was awesome, especially when they played Orgullo. I practically lost my mind, I love that song so much. It was great having Janelle there too because she was just as excited as I was to see them. She's the only person I know that likes Nonpoint as much as I do. There was a pretty decent crowd to see them, which I was happy about, since it seems as though most Nonpoint fans didn't even know that they would be playing. It wasn't really advertised as a Nonpoint show since they were apart of Atlantis. they only way I even knew about it was because I saw it in someone's journal. After their set, we hung out a little bit. There was this weird guy kinda following Kiddie around and she got weirded out by him, and was afraid that he'd like pop out of nowhere and kill her or something. He was kinda creepy though. He just started talking to Jordan out of the blue. Strange boy. I took a picture of Kiddie and Janelle with Robb, and cut off like half of Kiddie's face. haha. I suck. Sorry for the bad picture guys! Then we went outside, and hung around somemore before leaving. I had so much fun at that show. Before we went back to Janelles we made a stop at IHOP. Kiddie and Janelle were telling me all of these stories, and the people sitting behind us were listening and kinda laughing. God people are so rude. They need to mind their own biznass. haha. I guess we got back to Janelles at 3:30 or so, and we crashed. LONG day, but SO much fun. I'm happy I got to see Nonpoint and hang out with cool people.. | ||||||
