| Filter, Drain STH, and Simon Says Tuesday November 9th, 1999- The Tabernacle: Atlanta, GA |

| This was a cool show because the tickets were free! All I had to do was go down to the Tabernacle, show them my 99x freeloader card, and they gave me two free tickets. I really wanted to go to this show to see Drain STH, who I was really into at the time. After catching some of their set at Ozzfest, I got their album Horror Wrestling. At the time of this show with Filter, they had a second album out called Freaks of Nature, which I hadnt gotten yet. Anyway, I was really stoked about seeing them play. I was a little tired because I had seen Limp Bizkit the night before, and really hadnt gotten much sleep. So at this show, I kinda just wanted to take it easy after jumping around like a maniac the previous night. So anyway, I got Kevin to take me. I washed my hair after I got home from school and blow dried it straight. I put on my kick ass spider web tights, my Docs, my burgundy skirt and a black top. I looked great, if I do say so myself. Anyway, Kevin came to pick me up and we went to the Tab. He dropped me off in front and went around looking for somewhere to park. Im not even sure when he came in. When we got there, Simon Says had just left the stage, so I didnt get to see them play. But I didnt mind because I was really only there to see Drain anyway. When the girls from Sweden took the stage, I was so excited. They played a good mix of new and old stuff, but my favorite song they played was I Dont Mind from Horror Wrestling. I remember when they were playing some pervert, horn dog guy yelled Show us your tits! The girls in Drain are very pretty, and so one would expect that kind of comment from a male in the crowd. I remember Maria saying something like, These? then looking down her shirt and saying, No...theres nothing but paper in there. I thought that was pretty funny. Anyway, I really enjoyed their set and I was able to get up very close because there werent many people there yet. Although there were these gross like 30 year old men trying desperately to be cool, who nudged their way in front of me. Like Flavia, Anna, Maria or Martina would have ANYTHING to do with them. After they played, I was hoping that I could meet them. I went upstairs to look for Kevin, and ran into my friend Kate and her boyfriend. We talked for awhile. Then I spotted Kevin, and decided to go back downstairs. While I was walking back downstairs, I saw the girls from Drain walk in through the front door of the Tabernacle. They were walking over to a table to sign autographs. So I ran over to the table, and got in the back of the line. I found a piece of paper around me and grabbed it to get them to sign. I also had my ticket in my hand. When I got up to them, I was really nervous. Flavia was the first one in line and so I got her to sign both my ticket and the piece of paper. All the other girls signed it as well. I was pretty happy that I got to get all of their autographs. They were really nice. Im happy I got to meet them, because they are no longer together. I heard that Flavia moved up to New York, Maria got married to Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath, and Martina and Anna moved to California to start a band. But thats just what I heard. I hope theyre all doing well. We didnt stick around to see Filter because Kevin had to work the next day, and frankly, I wasnt very interested. Besides, I got to see Drain STH, and thats all that mattered. The day after this show, Chris Cornell, who was touring in support of his debut solo effort, was playing the Tabernacle and I really wanted to go and see him. But my mom said two concerts in one week were enough. And maybe she was right. Wednesday afternoon I hit the bed the second I got home and just slept. | ||||
