Why Naruto?. There are no words that can explain why I chose Naruto out of the millions of other possible topics I could have. It just happened. Naruto, is a manga* which was later made into an anime** because it was such a hit. The Naruto manga has recently crossed the seas to North America through the Shonen Jump magazine. Shonen Jump, a popular magazine in Japan that features chapters of many different manga, also made it's debut in North America shortly before it introduced a translated version of Naruto. Naruto has many qualities that I enjoyed: ~It has ninjas! That should be enough for anyone to like this anime, but since not everyone goes for the action scenes... ~There are touching scenes filled with drama and plenty of angst or whatever ~Friendship and teamwork is strongly supported and Kakashi, one of my favourite characters, has actually given Naruto and the gang many, many lectures on teamwork ~the bad guys are quite awesome, well, most of them anyway * Japanese comic books or graphic novels, etc. ** Japanese cartoons or animated television shows |
