When we arrived at the fish hatchery we went to the river and were given PFDs amd rain boots. After being briefed on safety instructions, we pushed our rafts into the water and were given a short paddling lesson. Over the course of the trip, the guide talked about the river and explained why certain things were found there. Sometimes we stopped to observed the side of the river and we stopped twice to test the water quality and perform other tests. Between these two stops we visited the sewage treatment plant and learned about the process that takes place before the water is returned to the river. At the end of the trip we loaded our rafts on the trailer and returned our PFDs and rainboots before boarding the bus and heading back to school.
