About the Character:
Saraiah was my first RP-only character over India MUCK (Since Xirix became an OOC one mostly) and I had to write a detailed application to get her. It was worth it. By then I had nothing planned for her. Her story goes like this.. Born within the expansive region protected by a lone tigress called Zafaria, this young golden tigress had -- apparently -- a bright future ahead in the defensive, watchful care of a seemingly loving mother. Unfortunately, little did this young feline know what was waiting patiently ahead. Zafaria was raised in a small clan, where the weak were left behind, abandoned. This clan, as many out there, believed firmly on the superiority of tigers in every possible way, and considered the others inferior, even other tigers. She was one of those kicked out; thus she promised herself this wouldn't happen to her child. Of course, she was surprised when she gave birth to a naturally strikingly odd and unusual golden tigress cub. Frustrated by her luck, she was hard on young Saraiah, showing excessive and compulsive concern about making her daughter live for those standards she never managed to reach when she, herself, was young. As soon as Saraiah took her first steps, her mother began a severe and rigidly enforced training to make her child perfect, though no matter how much she tried, Saraiah could hardly keep up with this being so young. Still, the young stripped feline soon managed to learn the basics. She had no idea how useful this would turn out to be in the near future. As in any story, disaster struck. The lands were affected by something overwhelming and unexpected; a nearby -- rather ancient -- waterfall began to crumble during a long, heavy storm. This, combined with the river, caused the water to flow down mercilessly upon the unsuspecting creatures of the jungle below, taking many lives with it.. Zafaria's included, but not her daughter's. The cub was capable to scramble her way up a floating log until the raging waters led it back to the safe ground. Saraiah found herself alone, in unknown lands with no one else to rely on but herself. For once, she was thankful of her mother's strict teaching, and was able to get food for herself. Even if food was not as abundant as in the past, she found enough aliment to keep going. On her way, she met no one but her other progenitor; her own father. Railian, known for his cruelty and egocentric personality. He recognized his cub only for her eyes; they were a lot like her mom's, a deep, brilliant, pale sapphire, their beauty only compared to those precious gems and crystals found in rare occasions. Though, being mean as always, he chased her out of his territory, denying the love and care he ought to devote to his own kid. She ran off, far away from home, to look for her own purpose in life. Several months passed her by, leading her throughout several places until she was offered by a kind snow leopardess to stay in the Shanata. Now with a place to call home and return to, it seemed to help her to lift her spirits. One special day she wandered off, and happened to meet up with the heir to the Natakiya, Karthik. Rather quickly they became very good and friends, though Karthik's parents and clan would never allow him to befriend a 'different' tigress, and thus Saraiah left. Though rest assured that their friendship is far from over..
