These are just a few more craft ideas I thought might be interesting
to you. I hope that you will find these helpful to you, as well as .
interesting. Feel free to contact me with any ideas you may have that will
help my hobby pages to be of more interest to all people.

Tip 1:Homemade Sachets
I have done this for my mother in law a while back.
Instead of buying a sachet from a major department store it is fairly
simple to make one yourself. To do this all you need is some pouporri
or her favorite flowers (dried) and any kind of material scraps laying
around your house . And some lace to trim it with.
Just sew the material inside out on three sides; then turn it right
side out and fill with the pouporri ( now I know I am spelling it wrong)
and sew up the forth side and trim with the lace. A very simple and
heartfelt gift for any occasion. My mother-in-law loved hers. In fact
she still has it in her dresser all these years later.
I have not yet had the time to try the first two out myself .

Tip 2:Another version of number 1 only fancier
I have also made this type.
Materials:
1 average size embroidery hoop
some lace and netting(matching in color)
matching ribbon
potpourri
glue gun(nesassry)
Instructions:
Glue one piece of netting around one of the embroidery hoops
(the inside hope). Then half glue second peice of netting over the edges of
first piece , making sure to leave enough open to fill it with potpourri.
Once filled glue opening closed. Then place the outer hope over the inner
hoop . Once that is dry then you take the lace and glue it to the back of
the hoop so that when it is hanging on a wall it will frame the hoop.
Takine the matching ribbon you then make a bow and glue it to the front of
the hoop either at the top or bottom. To hang it on wall take a piece of
ribbon and make a loop that u glue to the top back of hoop. Then hang it up.

Tip 3:SOAP CRAYONS
1 cup of Soap flakes (ivory, etc.) Food coloring 2 tablespoons of HOT water
Have one large bowl and several small bowls, one for each color. You will
also need an ice cube tray withdifferent sections, or containers to act as
small molds. Put soap flakes in a large bowl and drop the hot water into
the soap flakes, stirring constantly. The mixture will be extremely thick
and hard to stir. Spoon some of the soap into each of the small bowls and
color each separately, adding the color by drops until the soap has the
consistency of a very thick paste. Press spoonfuls of the soap into your
molds and set the crayons in a dry place to harden. They should take a few
days to a week to dry completely. When dry, remove from the molds and allow
to dry for a few more days before using. Yield: 20 Crayons

Tip 4:Chocolate Scented Play dough
Flour
Cocoa powder
Salt Cream of tartar
Cooking oil
Boiling water
Mix 1 1/4 cups of flour, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, 1/2-cup salt, and 1/2
Tablespoon cream of tartar. Add 1 1/2 Tablespoons cooking oil, 1 cup
boiling water. Stir quickly, mix well. Cook over low heat until dough forms
a ball. When cool, mix with your hands. Store in airtight container. It
smells good enough to eat but tastes awful so kids won't eat!
