Here are beauty tips I have tried as well as some I have yet to try. If you have any that you have found and enjoy please let me know and I will place them here. |

tip #1: 1.For a nice relaxing cup of tea try mixing 1 tsp. dried chamomile flowersand 1/4 tsp. dried rose petals water with boiling and let steep 3 to 5 minutes. You can even omit the rose petals and add mint leaves , or just use the chamomile by itself. Strain. Add honey or sugar (if you dislike honey) to tea and enjoy. tip #2: To soothe dry, chapped lips.Try this : In a sauce melt together 8 tsp. vegetable oil and 2 tsp. beeswax over low heat , until wax is completely metled. Remove from heat and add 1 tsp. honey and 1 vitamin E capsule. Mix well. When almost cool, add 8 drops peppermint oil or a flavored or of your choice. Pour into small lidded container. tip #3: If you enjoy the smell of fresh herbs you can take 3 to 4 sprigs of fresh lemon basil, lavender, jasmine and rosemary. Chop them up and place in a coffee filter (sorta of like making a giant tea bag)which you then tie with twine or ribbon long enough to just dangle under the running water and ahng from the faucet while filling the tub. Or you may leave the sprigs as they are before chopping and tie in one complete bundle and hang from your faucet over the tub. Run steamy hot water over the herbs. (Remember the water has to be hot enough to release their aroma). And to complete the relaxive mood light scented candles and enjoy a little piece of heaven here on earth. Tip #4: Here is a way to use the little left over slivers of soap. I take them and put them in a container with water and let them sit until they dissolve. And then I take it and put in an empty luquid soap dispenser. It beats always having to run to the store. Not to mention trying to find a sponge to hold them in. |
tip #5:
For a inexspensive mouthwash:Take hydrogen peroxide ,and add a dash of of peppermint oil for flavor if desired.Rinse your mouth for 1-2 minutes before brushing just like you would with regular store bought mouthwash. The only difference with this and store bought is the difference in how your teeth look. tip #6: A good homemade toothpaste to make when you run out of the regular one is this: Use baking soda and add enough peroxide to make a paste. I do this quite a bit even when I do have regular toothpaste. As it helps to clean my teeth even more than tatar control toothpaste alone. tip #7: Toothbrush: Soak your toothbrush in peroxide between brushings. It is good to soak you toothbrush periodically; but when either myself ,my husband or one of my children have a cold I try to do it more often. tip #8: To prevent wrinkles and soften your skin, you could try pure castor oil; it is known to slow down the aging process of the skin. tip #9: In order for moisturizer to work effectively, you need to apply it right away within three minutes of cleansing or misting face, before all the moisture evaporates off your skin. This is true with your whole body too ladies so be sure to put lotion on right after your bath :-) tip #10: Another tip for thicker hair ~ Grind coconut and squeeze milk from ground coconut and apply to hair and comb for 5 minutes and shampoo after 45min. to an 1 hr. This reduces hair dropping and helps hair to grow thick. |
tip #11:Deoderant Cream:
Ingredients: 1 part petroleum jelly 1 part cornstarch 1 part baking soda Add a few drops of your favorite perfume Directions: Mix all ingredients together and Store in a Container tip #12:DARK CIRCLES AROUND EYES: Take one teaspoon tomato juice, teaspoon lemon juice, a pinch of turmeric powder and a teaspoon of flour. Make a paste and apply. Leave for 10 minutes and wash off. tip #13:Bad Breath: Boil some cinnamon in a cup of water. Store it in a clean bottle in your bathroom. Use it as a mouthwash frequently. Parsley leaves are rich in chlorophyll, nature's own deodorizer. Chew some leaves regularly and your breath will remain fresh. Alternatively, you can chew some cardamom seeds to sweeten your breath. tip #14:Muscle Therapy Oil Blend and bottle 1 1/2 tablespoons sweet almond oil, 2 drops essential oil of thyme, 7 drops essential oil of lavender, 3 drops essential oil of eucalyptus or lemon, 3 drops essential oil of ginger, 1 drop essential oil of peppermint and 1 drop essential oil of rose. This blend is particularly suitable for strained muscles and sports injuries. It can be gently massaged into the skin or placed on a compress and wrapped around an injury. tip #15:WRINKLES: Take a Vitamin C tablet (the strongest you can find) and dissolve it in 1/2 teaspoon boiling water. Let the water cool until comfortable to the touch. Add it to a small amount of eye cream and pat gently under the eye and around the mouth. Vitamin C is the only topical antioxidant that has been proven to prevent oxidation of tissue. Thanks Robbie !!! |
