Uh... I just realized that the article below has each DVD listed as containing three episodes per disck... while the Japanese one had four... -_-; plus extras like Megumi Hayashibara and Yui Horie's concert too. Well, seeing as how it's not official yet, let's just hope that they'll throw the extra episode in.

ANN has posted details on the upcoming uncut Yu-Gi-Oh and Shaman King releases:

Although an official press release isn't due for a few more days, 4Kids PR firm, SSA Public Relations has written us with some details about the upcoming special DVD collector's editions of Yu-Gi-Oh! and Shaman King that are being released on October 19 by 4Kids and FUNimation. The DVDs will carry a SRP of $19.98.

In addition to completely uncut and unedited animation, the DVDs will include the original Japanese dialog, with accurate subtitles and a newly recorded, and faithfuly translated English language track.

These are the titles being released:

SHAMAN KING Volume 1: A Boy Who Dances With Ghosts
Episode 1 - A Boy Who Dances with Ghosts
Episode 2 - Waiting Samurai
Episode 3 - Tao Len

SHAMAN KING Volume 2: Perfect Possession
Episode 4 - Perfect Possession
Episode 5 - A Precocious Shaman
Episode 6 - Kung Fu Master

Yes, I left out the "Yu-Gi-Oh!" titles for the sake of space. ^_^; Hey, go see the original article if you want the goods on that! Anyways, this is great! I can't wait to get my copies, even though the dub still has the Fox Box names and stuff like that (the title of episode three freaked me out for a second). I'm buying it for the sub, but I'd like to see how the dub turns out too.

They won't release anymore if the sales are bad, so go out and get your own too! ^_^

I put up images in the "Character" section for Horo Horo, Lyserg, and Morphine. I'll try getting some more later.

Heads up, the "Shaman King" video games are on their way to GBA and PS2 this August! The GBA title is a side scrolling adventure, while the PS2 title has elements of RPG, strategy, and 3D fighting games.

Yay! My first addition to this site ever! ^ ^ What could the news be? FUNimation releasing subbed versions of "Shaman King" and "Yu-Gi-Oh!", that's what! This is like, groundbreaking stuff people, because 4Kids has a reputation for not ever releasing subbed versions of anything. The first set of DVDs is due out October 19 at a price of $19.95 US for three episodes. I am so going to get the first DVD to see what it is like. *pokes Funimation and 4Kids for boxsets* It doesn't matter to me that the "Shaman King" dub is still the Fox Box version - I just want the sub. What the "Yu-Gi-Oh!" DVD will be like exactly is still uncertain (dub-wise and such). I hope more North American kids get to experience these titles in Japanese! ^ ^

"Shaman King" is property of Hiroyuki Takei, TV Tokyo, etc.
