Hello 7 (Stu's guide to eating healthily...)

Today I am going to share my views with you on healthy eating.

One of my pet hates relates to products promoting low fat etc etc.

The main one of these is skimmed milk. What are these people thinking? Milk has been drunk by humans from day one, proper milk and although now it usually only gets tipped on your breakfast or in your tea, what is the point of having skimmed. This is milk with the milk taken out for gods sake. You might as well use white water. It tastes nothing like proper full fat milk and its only purpose is so people can say 'Have you got skimmed only I'm on a diet'

Similar to the above is the raft of products known as nearly butter. Can't tell the difference the adverts say. Rubbish, anyone with a tastebud can tell that proper butter and 'utterly can't believe its spreadable' are in completely different leagues. The only thing about it is its slightly more palletable on your ham sarnie than margerine.

The others, Diet coke, Diet pepsi, in fact diet or low fat anything taste nothing like their 'proper' counterparts and if you are on a serious diet these products will do absolutely nothing to enhance your chances of losing weight. Proper dieting brings about weight loss not a large bag of chips and a can of Diet Fanta.

The only health product I find useful is the low fat grill come sandwich maker thingy. All the fat runs out into the tray underneath as it healthily cooks your food. My tip here is this:-

Get one large steak and grill for about 15 Mins . Place the first tray of fat in the fridge while the steak finishes cooking . Cut yourself two large wedges of crusty bread and spread with the fat now congealed in the tray in the fridge . Place steak between the crusty bread, add a spot of salt and salad and eat while hot . Beautiful.............
