Seeing as I list one of my interests as diy I thought I might share some of my tips with you .
- Paint never looks the same colour on the wall that it does in the tin.
- Paint never looks the same colour on the label that it does in the tin.
- It is impossible to buy the right amount of paint for the job-----this is why every house has a shed or garage containing half full paint tins.
- There is no such thing as non drip.
- You will always spend more time looking for 4 screws the right size to put your shelf up than you would going to the store to fetch some.
- Meticulously plan all projects and then multiply by 3 anticipated time to completion and cost.
- It probably wont "Do exactly as it says on the tin".
- 'No nails' still needs nails to hold in place while it is setting.
- Under no circumstances let anyone under 16 'Help'.
- You can never finish decorating a house, by the time you've finished doing all the rooms the first will want doing again.
- Building a flat pack barbeque is not diy.
- The bloke in the pub who has been saying he will do a loft extension for the last 2 years never will.
- You will only notice the creaking floorboard after you have spent all afternoon laying the carpet.
- You can never have too many tools.
- You will never find the right screwdriver.
- MDF will never look like wood .
I may continue with this theme at a later date..........
