Dave first picked up the guitar at the age of 14 because of his Influences and his friends were experimenting and it sounded cool. His main influences were Jimmi Hendrix, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Kirk Hammet.
Growing up in a chart pop mad environment Dave grew sick of it all and persued different genres including Rn'B, Rap, Rock and underground artists. Although he always had a taste for rock, by his early teens Heavy Rock music intrigued him and the styles of guitar were amazing. It Probably started from Red Hot Chilli's, Stereophonics and Bonjovi then got heavier.
Dave "I felt a part of the musical world was hidden from me as a child in this generation so I explored Jimmi Hendrix and stuff before my time, as well as accomplished artists who were not just looking for fame and didn't want high publicity. There are such amazing albums to be discovered,I bet some of the stuff I'm into nobody has ever heard of, thats a shame.
when I Stumbled on bands like Dream Theatre and Metallica I really saw the musical melody of Heavy music, like songs have more complexity, emotion can be expressed more, it can be positive and life is not all about love songs it can have a meaning in all aspects of us.
Bands usually tend to write and play their own music which I respect, but what I respect even more is live music, none of this miming."
Just as Dave was beginning to learn guitar he met Randy through his mate Gavin. Randy was good on lead guitar and Dave learnt a few chords off him but due to Randy's busy schedule Dave looked for a teacher. Dave took 12 lessons from Raoul Crane a very well known guitarist in east anglia who played for "Rawkus" at �15 an hour. Soon Dave started self teaching from then on.
Dave and Randy jammed whenever they could but Dave soon got bored of Randy Playing Santana lead throughout and soon got him into other types of music like Metallica, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani and changed Randy's musical pallet a lot.
Dave later met Rob Preston from Gorleston, who was an ausome Rhythem Player and jammed with him. Dave learned a lot of skills by watching Rob, like speed, timing and more chord techniques.
Not long after he made a friend called Jamie from Caister, who was a 15 yr old drummer but had such good natural rhythem jamming was a joy. In 2003 Dave set out to start a band with his mates Rob, Randy and Jamie currently called .......... Albums are coming together and Rob is a great composer, when Dave and Randy add their peice the a song is instantly geled.
