| Named after his adoptive grandfather, Gohan is Goku and Chi-Chi's eldest son. He is idealistic, good and pure like his father. Gohan reveals his tremendous fighting potential when the earth is threatened. His heritage as part Saiyan and part human, make him stronger than if he were of one race alone. With Goku's departure to the next dimension and the eminent arrival of Saiyans stronger than Raditz, Gohan is key to the survival of Earth. Thus Piccolo, a former enemy of his father, joins forces with the good guys and trains Gohan for the upcoming battle. Over time, Gohan becomes friends with Piccolo, looks up to Piccolo and even wears similar clothing. Although initially a wimp, Gohan's training in the wilderness and subsequent fighting make him both brave and loyal. Following the fight on Earth, Gohan is determined to go with Bulma and Krillin to Namek to collect the seven Namekian Dragon Balls and help out his friends on Earth - especially since he feels he let them down during the fight on Earth. Gohan is key to the good guys success on Namek, risking his own life to save Dende, collecting Dragon Balls, traveling to see Guru who awakens a power sleeping within him, battling the Ginyu Force, etc. He will be the first to reach Super Saiyan II stage. Gohan first appears in the begining of DBZ, he is introduced as the son of Goku and Chi-Chi. Gohan is kidnapped by Goku's brother Raditz and taken to a farm where Raditz landed. gohan begins to get upset and starts to cry so Raditz shuts him up in his spacepod. Eventually Goku and Piccolo show up to fight Raditz. The fight is hopeless and Goku is beaten severely, Gohan watches the fight from the spacepod and gets VERY angry, suddenly, Raditz's scouter shows a very high power reaing coming from the area where Gohan is. It turns out that the mix of Saiyan and Human blood made Gohan VERY powerful, possibly even more powerful than Goku! Gohan then Destroys the space pod and slams himself into Raditz and hurts him slightly. Raditz then knocks out Gohan and the fight continues. After the fight, goku is left dead, Piccolo decides to take Gohan to train him to use his power. Gohan's training with Piccolo makes him even more powerful than Krillin, Yamcha or Tien, but in the fight against the Saiyans, Gohan is too scared to fight, that is until Nappa hurts Krillin. Goku comes to the rescue and begins to fight. When Goku is to weak to fight, Gohan looksup at the blazing ball of energy in the sky and becomes Ozaru. While in Ozaru form Gohan hurts Vegeta severely and forces him back into his spacepod. Gohan becomes a very strong warrior and fights Recoome on the planet Namek, although Recoome is too tough for him, and he is beaten badly until Goku arrives and gives Gohan a senzu bean. Gohan plays a large role in saving the lives of Bulma and Piccolo while escaping from Namek. On the planet namek gohan befriends Dende and they are good friends from there on. Gohan eventually becomes very strong and reaches SSJ level 2, and with a little distraction form Vegeta, he is able to kill Cell. Eventualy Gohan attends school and meets a pretty girl named Videl, who he marries and has a child with who they name Pan. For a short while Gohan fights crime under the alias "Great Saiyaman". |
