We have a dream that one day this Anteaters nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of TEAM. We hold these truths to be self-evident that ALL players are created equal (though some players, like Ryan Snook, are just better than others) and thus deserve at least one shot at playing time.
We have a dream that Ryan Snook will one day be a part of a UCI basketball team where he will not be benched and oppressed by Coach Pat Douglass but rather judged by the content of his mad baller skills and thus be allowed to play.
We have a dream today. And so does Snook, damn it!
This is our hope. This is the faith that we will go back to the Bren Events Center with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of bench-warming a stone of justice for Snook.
With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our Anteaters basketball team into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood.
And when this happens, when Coach Douglass lets Snook Diddy play in AT LEAST ONE basketball game, we will be able to speed up that day when all of UCI's sons and daughters, undergraduates and graduates, professors and TA's, faculty and staff, administration and alumni, basketball players and non-basketball players, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old spiritual, "Snook is in, Snook is in. Thank God Almighty, Snook is in a game."
