Special Player Report - A high speed motorbike accident has put the skids under Quinten Hann's season, forcing the Australian to pull out of the ¢G500,000 Liverpool Victoria UK Championship which began in Bournemouth. The World No. 26 was down under, indulging in his other sporting passion - motorbike racing - when he crashed, suffering a broken collarbone and a broken wrist on the eve of his flight to Britain. Hann was competing in the `Stars of the Future' superbike event when disaster struck. He will be out of action until at least the end of the year and his participation in 2000 events will be reviewed next month after medical advice has been taken. He was due to face either Michael Judge or Gerard Greene in round three of the Liverpool Victoria UK Championship on Thursday. With Hann's withdrawal from the tournament, whoever triumphs between Judge and Greene will receive a walk over into the fourth round. - 15/Nov - |
