A high speed motorbike accident has put the skids under Quinten Hann's season, forcing the Australian to pull out of the ¢G500,000 Liverpool Victoria UK Championship which began in Bournemouth.
The World No. 26 was down under, indulging in his other sporting passion - motorbike racing - when he crashed, suffering a broken collarbone and a broken wrist on the eve of his flight to Britain.
Hann was competing in the `Stars of the Future' superbike event when disaster struck. He will be out of action until at least the end of the year and his participation in 2000 events will be reviewed next month after medical advice has been taken.
He was due to face either Michael Judge or Gerard Greene in round three of the Liverpool Victoria UK Championship on Thursday. With Hann's withdrawal from the tournament, whoever triumphs between Judge and Greene will receive a walk over into the fourth round.

Stevens, the 22 year old world No.9, completed his second victory of the season over Higgins having beaten the Scot 9-7 to win the Regal Masters title in Motherwell two months ago.
But it was also revenge for the Welshman from Carmarthen who lost 10-6 to Higgins in last year's UK final.

Tuesday : Fifth Rounds (23/Nov) *Highlight*

Ronny O'Sullivan recorded the second quickest finishes to a best-of-17 frame match as he stormed into the quarter-finals with a 9-1 victory over Anthony Hamilton within 105 minutes.
Darren Morgan qualified for his first quarter-final in eight months. The Welsh came through 9-7 over Scot Drew Henry, his next challenge is against compatriot Mark J Williams.
