The main story: |

|
Long ago, in Japan's era of the "Warring States," a legendary doglike halfdemon called Inuyasha attempted to steal the Shikon Jewel(Shikon no tama), or the Jewl of four Souls, from a village. He was the son of a human woman and a full demon, who died when he was young. So he had to take care of himself as very young. When he got a bit older her met and fell inlove with a beautiful miko named Kikyo. She guarded the Shikon Jewl. However the romance was short lived because of a jealous demon called Naraku caused each other to betray each other. Inuyasha was stopped by the dying priestess Kikyo(Kikyo was hurt by Naraku, who had taken Inuyasha's form), who shot him with a magic arrow, that binded him to a tree and he fell in deep sleep. Right after Kikyo told her little sister Kaede that she has to burn her body and the jewl together, when Kikyo is dead.
Centuries later a girl called Kagome falls into an old well and is transported back to 50 years after Kikyo's death. There she awakens Inuyasha and she is discovered to be the reincarnation of Kikyo.The Shikon Jewl is found to be hidden in her body. Later, due to a twist of fate the Jewl is shattered. Now Inuyahsa and Kagome must travel to find the shards and prevent them from beeing possessed by demons.

Inu-Yasha is a half demon, who wants the Jewl of four souls, so that he can become a full demon. He's very rude and egotistical on the outside, but he is very soft and caring on the inside ;D
He has a very bad temper and likes fights..hehe

Kegome is the reincarnation of Kikyo. Initially the Jewl of Four Souls was implanted in her side. It was discovered when a demon bit her. Beeing the reincarnation of such a powerful priestess, Kagome also posseses some special powers. These include the abillity to cleance shards of the jewl, and to see or feel where they are in order to find them. She is very clever and uses brains to get outta problems, where Inuyasha would prefer muscles :D |

Sango is from a village of (taijiya)demon exterminators. She wants to avenge her village and free her little brother Kohahu from the evil grasps of Naraku. She uses wepon called Hiraikotsu (a giant boomerang) and she has a "pet" called Kirara. |

Kilala/Kirara is a female cat-demon, and is Sango's "pet." Kirara has 2 forms, one of a small kitten and one of a large cat, resembling a saber-toothed tiger. In her tiger form she can fly and is used for transportation. Kirara is very loyal to Sango. |

Miroku is a buddhist monk with a BIG weakness for women! He askes every woman he meets of they would like to bear his child.. something that drives Songa up the walls ;D He was the victim of a (family?)- curse placed on his grandfather by the demon Naraku.. his hand is pierced with a hell hole, which slowly enlarges with time. If Miroku doesn't defeat Naraku, he will eventually be swallowed by the hole :'( He's a nice guy and a good fighter ;D |

Sesshoumaru is the half brother of Inuyasha and is a full demon.. he is actually mean but i kinda like him ;D he doesn't care for his brother nor for humans and he wants to kill Inuyasha only to get his sword: Tetsusaiga because he thinks his own sucks :P |

Kaede is the sister of Kikyo. She was only a child when Kikyo died, and now she's the priestess of her village. She helps Kagome to search for the Shikon Jewl by offering advise. (and a special little necklace...hehe) |

|
Kikyo was the priestess who guarded her village and the Shikon Jewl. She pinned Inuyasha to the tree and was afterwards burned with the Jewl. She has been resurrected, but since she hated Inuyasha at the time of her death she seeks to kill him. Kikyo is later reborn in a body made of old bones and clay. This was made for her by a witch, who had Kagome's soul drawn out of her and then allowed to return to Kikyo. However shortly after Kikyo returned from the dead, her soul returned to Kagome. Now the only thing keeping her alive is her hatred against Inuyasha. But because her body is not real she needs to absorb the souls of other to keep it from deteriorating. |

Shippo is a small fox demon. He met Kagome and Inuyasha when he was attempting to avenge the death of his father. He is very fond of Kagome, and argues a lot with Inuyasha :D
He can transform, but when he does, he often retains his bushy little tail or just looks silly ;D and he can't hold it for long but hey his only like errh 7 years old ;D |
