CJ-7's first outing.
A couple of friends and I decided to head up to Tellico for the weekend.  I decided to take the CJ-7 for a shakedown run.
Here we are loading her for the trip.
I made sure to bring any spare part I thought I would need.  From fluids to axle shafts, you name it, I had it.
This is Josh, in his CJ-7 coming up trail 5.
We didn't get many pictures of the ride, mainly because we didn't get very far.  Remember all the spare parts I brought, well, I didn't bring a spare tranny.  And you know what happens when you don't have a spare part for something, it breaks.  That is what mine did.  The rear bearing in the tranny choose to exit the Jeep.  This locked up the tranny, and stopped all forward progress.

It took about 3 hrs to pull and winch my Jeep back to the water crossing on trail 5.  By the time we got the Jeep on the trailer, it had suffered a broken tranny, winch cable, bent tie-rod, and it had a hole in the front diff cover.  I guess the shake down run was a success since we found all these things to fix.  Either way I really enjoyed the Jeep.  The granny low gear made most things we came to a snap to get over.  Besides, it can be fixed, and now the parts will be new.
Here the Jeep is waiting to be pulled off the trailer.
