Class Information
This eight week session gives handler and dog the opportunity to explore the world of Agility. Dogs are introduced to agility equipment and handlers learn the basics skills of handling. The emphasis is placed on having fun and working on focus and control.
At FastTracks Agility, we concentrate on "Fun" and "Safety" when training. During the Spring/Summer season, we do our training outdoors on a grass surface. During the winter, we move indoors to a heated riding arena. Both facilities provide exceptional footing and cushioned landings for our dogs. This allows dogs to reach their full potential in power and speed!

It is important to remember that at FastTracks Agility, each dog/handler team work at the pace that is right for them. The Beginner's Agility is an eight week session and dogs finishing that course will move on to Level One. From there, teams work at developing their skills and will progress through the levels at different rates. The instructor will inform the student when he/she are ready to advance to the next level of training. No one will advance before they are ready and no one will be held back waiting for another team. Each dog/handler team is treated individually.
Group A concentrates on getting the dog comfortable on all equipment and  handler's learn more handling skills needed to safely guide their dogs around an agility course. Teams are also introduced to some Agility games.
Group B dogs should be comfortable performing all agility equipment and should be perfoming each obstacle safely. Handler's will advanced their handling skills and learn more games. Level One must be completed before registering for this class.
Group C  is for dog/handler teams starting to think about really playing the game and looking forward to the possiblity of competition. Teams start to do more advanced sequence work and handling skills. Teams must have completed Level two before registering for this class.
Eight 1 hour sessions for those handlers who are currently trialing or very close to.This hour is  devoted to learning and practicing the AAC & Nadac Games.  Handlers are free to practice what they want whether it is equipment or handling and are encouraged to participate in group exercises and discussions.
