Sno-Gun Operating Instructions * Fist step is to check if the weather conditions are right for snowmaking. * You will need to attach your Sno-Gun to something secure like a ladder or fence post. You can do this with included wire ties or metal hose clamps. * Close the ball valve on your Sno-Gun. The handle should be perpendicular to the pipe. Connect your garden hose to water spigot and to the garden connection on your snowmaker. * Connect the air hose from your compressor to the snowmaker using the quick connect fitting. * Turn on your compressor. * Turn on your water. * You should now have air coming out of the pipe cap. * Open the ball valve slowly until you have a steady spray of water and air coming out. It is typical for you to get a pulsing flow, adjust the ball valve to get as steady of a stream as possible. * If the weather conditions are right for snowmaking you should now be making snow! * HAVE FUN AND ENJOY! For Best Results: * Make snow when there is little or no wind. If there is wind you can make a wind block 10-15 feet in front of your Sno-Gun. This will help the snow stay in there area where you are making it and out of your neighbors yard! * On windier days aim your snow gun down towards the ground. On windless days point your snow gun up at a 30 to 45 degree angle this will give the water droplets more time to freeze, this will create a drier more powdery snow. * Try different caps with different weather conditions to see what works best for you. * Keep the water flowing through the hose. As soon as the water stops flowing it will start to freeze up. * Use a shorter water supply hose. In the event of a freeze up a shorter hose will be easier to thaw out in your house or garage. * When you are done making snow for the day, disconnect the air supply hose then turn off the water valve. * Make sure that at least 25% of the air hose is below the compressor output. This way if water backs up into the line it will not get into the tank and damage the compressor. * If only air is coming out of your Sno-Gun this can be caused by 2 things; 1) your water hose has frozen up, or 2) your air pressure is to high. Most new compressors have a air pressure regulator. If the pressure is too high the air will push the water back through the hose. Also if you are only getting water out of the nozzle, IMMEDIATELY TURN OFF THE WATER VALVE!, what is happening is the water pressure is pushing the air back into the hose. * EXPERIMENT WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU!!! * HAVE FUN AND ENJOY!!!
