TACTICAL TRAINING
stealth
So you want to be a sniper... With all of the crazy-mad guns available today, you might be thinking 'What's the point?" The point is that not everyone needs (or wants) to shoot 500+ rounds per game. Not olny that, the snipers on a team are in charge of many crutial missions that the other players can't perform. Snipers are the key element to the success of their team.

The ability to shoot well-aimed shots does not make a sniper. Tactics, discipline, and patience are the major factors in becoming a better player than the rest. And these are all covered in my complete guide to stealth.

SNIPER MARKERS

1) Reliability:
You need a paintball gun that can stand up to the conditions you will be playing in. You should be able to crawl through the dirt with it and still be able to make precise shots. (A perfect example of a reliable marker is Tippmann's 98 Custom).
2) Customizing:
Your gun should be able to accept after market barrels, expansion packs, lasers sights, ect.
3) Color:
Stay away from markers made of flashy anodized and polished parts. Although they look nice, they will only draw attention to your position. Check out some black or camouflage colored guns first.
4) R.O.F:
Rate of fire should have no influence on your gun of choice. No matter how trigger-happy you may be, when you're playing the role of a sniper, you only need to squeeze off one shot at a time anyway. Keep in mind that it takes 500 rounds to paint a bunker, but only 1 to clear it...

ADVANCED CAMOUFLAGE & CONCEALMENT

Your ability to blend into your suroundings is as important as your marker. Camouflage is a balance of several different elements to make you blend in seamlessly with your suroundings. Your choice of camo should match the scene you play in. For example, you wouldn't want a green colored pattern for use in the desert, and likewise you wouldn't want a brown colored pattern for use in the jungle.
