LCCOC Trial Day 3 (Entry for May 28, 2007)

Red got a Q and 1st in rally for his RE title. He does not like having to stop every other step in heeling and I practically had to drag him around the ring. Rally Novice was a great confidence builder for Red, but Excellent is extrememly demotivating. So I don't think we're going to go for the RAE title.

After rally we took Red out into the parking with the intention of making him break a stay. We heeled dogs around him, threw food at him, and I went and hid. Eventually he broke and I was able to run over to him and correct him. Red was extremely hurt by this, because I don't physically correct my dogs very often. Then we went into the obedience ring. Red only lost 11.5 points in the individual exercises. And...Red did his stays!!! The long down was the longest three minutes of my life! So Red got his second CD leg with a score of 188.5 and a second place.
