Red did very well today, both at the vet clinic and at obedience class. I bought him one of those big yucky beef bones that he never gets at home becuse they stink and stain the carpet. I put him in the back with the boarding dogs and put the bone in his kennel. The first time I checked on him he hadn't touched the bone, but when I went to walk him at lunch time he had chewed on it. So he did get more comfortable as the day went on.

Red also had a good class. His heeling and stays were very nice. He could use more practice on straight fronts and heel positions. I also need to work on finishes with Red. I discovered that he only does them reliably if I give a command and a big exaggerated signal. Luckily that's something that I can easily work on every night after work.
