MARKER

This debate of which marker is best will continue on till the end of time. I know that many players debate which is best for sniping, pump or semi? My opinion is that pumps probably give you better performance since all the air is used to propel the ball instead of some air being used to re-cock the marker as is done in semi-auto's. But I am in preference of using a semi-auto and my reasons are:

1. If you get into trouble you have the extra firepower to maybe shoot your way out or at least take a few more opposing players with you.
2. You have to do extra movement with a pump (as in pumping the gun) for you can shoot a semi-auto once and be ready to shoot again without any other movement.

Question now is which gun to use? When I got back into the sport my o' splatmaster was definitely outclassed so I took about 2 months of trying to catch up to the new technology and setup what I wanted from my marker. They included:

• Dependability
• Manufacture support and history in the sport
• Cost
• East to work on

  As you can see my main concern was dependability for there is no reason to play if you cannot trust your marker to work. Besides I wanted a manufacture to support my decision on using their marker and I decided to start at a mid-price incase I do not want to continue to play, it was not hard on my wallet (I only play rec ball). I clean my marker at home and never plan on "field stripping" a the marker. Unless I do plan to go into tourney's I decided to go with a C98 Tippmann. I know this decision will probably cause many debates and I know there are even pro's and con's with my decision but so far I have enjoyed the marker. I recommend get one you can trust so enjoy and play!
