DRAW METHOD

One Man

This method has served me well in times when the opposing team eliminates most of the team I am on and they are ready for a final push. You probably had the same feeling during a game you first see one player, then another on your team yell out "hit" and you start to get that "lonely" feeling as you are out numbered through eliminations. Staying put only serves as a target for the numerous players on the opposing team so what to do? You need to think of this before you had jumped into your current position by thinking of other positions to your rear (or fall back positions) for this is easily remembered just after the game started and you are running forward. All of those other good looking positions you ran by might be needed by you in the immediate future so keep them in your mind. Now back to being outnumbered... So as the paintballs get hot and heavy you are best to stay alive and that is done by falling back to the last position you were at or past by moments ago.

Some may say "retreat!"...NEVER!!!. What you trying to do here is change the situation back into you favor and that will be done through finding a new hiding position, yes, you are going back to being a sniper because the current odds are against you.

When you fall back you want to keep the opposing players from knowing where you have fallen back to and one way to give that last burst of paintballs to keep their heads down. After that it is time to move, so forget about shooting and moving at the same time. Shooting will only slow you down and give the opposing players a better chance to hit you. As you run you will want to bend at the waist so as to make you as small as possible and give them a smaller target if they do see you. If time and distance permits do not run toward your fall back position but stay a little ways off into another cover. After you have taken cover you then will crawl over to the position you really wanted. The reason for the extra movement is help deceive the opposing players if they seen you fall back. Now they think you are beind the fallen log instead of the clump of bushes you now lie in waiting. See, now it is in your favor as they now have to find you all over again. You can now start the process all over as you take one or two players out and fall back again.

Two Man

This is where you get help from your friend and hope to Draw in your opponents. Your formation setup will be one in front other the other. Let's say you will go out front first so as you head out your friend will follow but staying back (depending on terrain). Go as far forward as you can until you see opposing players and bunker down. At the same time your friend should see you doing this and find a good spot. Your job is to take out the first or second player and fall back past where your friend has set up his nest. Important: Make sure your friend knows what you look like and doesn't have a happy trigger. Your nest should be as close as straight back from him as possible so he doesn't have to try to find you following back after he takes out a player or two. As you leap frog this should slow the opposing team down at the same time causing them player losses.

Happy hunting
