THE Kniffen/Sniffen Family Genealogy

PREFACE:
It has been said that in order to know where one is going, one has to know where you came from. Tracing our Ancestral roots is important for all of us because of our rich family heritage, and because that heritage of ours, is in our genes.

I have decided to do our family genealogy, in five phases, 1) from the arrival of George Knifton to the American Colonies down to my children's generation, 2) Bennett Sniffen's arrival in the Hawaiian Islands and his descendants,  3)  the Moku Nu'a line (my Grandmother  Martha Kahailani Moku ancestral line)
4)  my Great grandmother Kamakanoenoe's ancestral line and 5) The Jay Line (my mother's family).

The accuracy of this history has been dependant on Census Records, Public Records, News articles, and many other sources, unfortunately sometimes they may turn out to be inaccurate because of human errors.
