Here's an int conducted with Jalle in '95 sometime...
1. STORY, LINE-UP ETC??
HOLOCRUST was formed in ’95 by me, Frippe and Sandberg. We used to have the notorious G.G. Majic on vocals but since he just jacked off + the rehearsals always ended with us pulling out mics+stands out of his ass, we soon replaced him with Stefan and Nicke. The line-up is: Stefan/ Nicke-vocals, Frippe-guitar, Sandberg-bass and Jalle-drums.
2. ANY RELEASES COMING UP?
We have a debut-ep coming this summer/ fall (’97!! It’s not out yet. / ed) on the Japanese label D.I.Y rec’s. We’ll be entering the studio again in a couple of months to record a 12”.
3. I HEARD THAT WARCOLLAPSE WAS PUT ON ICE, WHY?
We’ve had line-up problems since we kicked Janne out. But we’ll record an Lp this year as planned (It’s called Divine Intoxication and it’s out now / ed), the we’ll just see what happens. Besides, everybody is busy with other projects.
4. ARE THERE MANY BANDS IN VÄSTERVIK?
DECAY is a pretty good rawpunk-band in the vein of early DOOM. It varies.
5.INFLUENCES, FAVE-BANDS ETC?
DISCLOSE, DISPROVE, ICONOCLAST, ASBESTOS, DEADLOCK, BASTARD, ANTI-AUTHORIZE, DISRUPT, STATE OF FEAR, BRUTAL TRUTH, HUMAN GREED, MASSKONTROLL, DISABUSE, DISCORDANCE AXIS, ASSÜCK, MEAT SHITS, SKITSYSTEM, DRILLER KILLER, SVART PARAD, DOOM, SELFISH, MISERY, AMEBIX… The usual.
6. I’VE READ THAT YOU DO A ZINE, TELL ME ABOUT IT!?
The zine is called “Crust Darkness”, it will probably be a split with Sandbergs zine. Ain’t got the strength to plod on the shit, haven’t done anything in a year (Hmm, that sounds very familiar…! / ed).
7. HOW COME CRUDE S.S. AND DISACCORD SPLIT-UP?
Don’t care about old shit.
8. ANTICIMEX=RULES??
Sandberg: With Painkiller 12” and some 7,2’s you won’t be bored.
