The way the sun glistens off the blue water,
The way the stars glimmer in the night sky.
Things in life worth stopping to gaze at,
Things that make me never want to die.
They change the thoughts that enter my head,
They change how I feel about life.
I gaze out happily at all of them,
Then reality stabs back like a knife.
But while I feel this happiness,
All my problems seem to fade away.
These feelings help me go on with life,
Feelings I wish would always stay.
