Since Sports Night Started: After he challenged Luther Sachs on the air (6 Southern Gentlemen), he was in fear of being fired and began grooming Dana (Smoky). A few months later, after a vacation with his wife in Europe, he had a stroke at the airport (Elis Coming) and returned just in time to see Dana have a nervous breakdown (WkoDHiB). He struggled to recover from the stroke and work at the same time (Special Powers) and hired a ratings guy to try and help the show (WSWtwC).
