Crazy Quilt Pillows
At the age of 25, Stephanie Danker picked up the art of crazy quilts from her maternal grandma, Doris Diller ("Nanny"), of Hesston, Kansas.  She has always enjoyed and appreciated Nanny's folk art, and is excited about the inter-generational transfer of artistry.  Stephanie merges the traditional quilting artform with non-traditional and more contemporary patterns and fabrics.

Every crazy quilt pillow square is unique and original.  The process begins by machine-sewing fabric pieces onto muslin, and then each line in the design is hand-stitched by the artist.  These pillow tops have all been scanned for viewing on the web gallery to show detail before the back is sewn on and stuffed.  Each pillow takes approximately 5-6 hours to create, and are approximately 10"-12" across.  No two pillows can be exactly the same, and each one truly is made with love.
