Tube collection

I'm an electronics technician, and I also enjoy antiques, technical of course. As a youth I dismantled a lot of discarded radios, which I somewhat regret now. Well, most of them were broken anyway, and it was an easy way of getting hard to find parts for experimentation.

Somehow I managed to keep the tubes safe, some of them are from before WWII. Here is a list of the oldest ones, the data for most of them can be found at Frank Philipse's excellent website.

6H6th.jpg (1062 bytes) 6H6 Dual signal diode with separate cathodes in a metal casing.
EBC3th.jpg (991 bytes) EBC3 Dual diode and audio triode.
EBL21th.jpg (860 bytes) EBL21 Dual diode and power pentode. Why anyone would want a detector diode mixed
with a power pentode is beyond me.
ECH21-1th.jpg (926 bytes) ECH21 Triode-heptode. Used as local oscillator and mixer.
EF5th.jpg (910 bytes) EF5 Another of the 'red' series. IF amplifier pentode.
EF11th.jpg (1064 bytes) EF11 Variable slope RF and IF pentode in metal casing.
EFM11th.jpg (948 bytes) EFM11 Audio pentode integrated with "magic eye" tuning indicator.
EK2th.jpg (862 bytes) EK2 Octode used in medium and long wave frequency converters.
EM1th.jpg (905 bytes) EM1 "Magic eye" tuning indicator.
EM34th.jpg (847 bytes) EM34 "Magic eye" tuning indicator with dual sensitivities. One sector closes well before the
other, so even weak signals can be monitored.
