Profile for Enchantment: A Harry Potter RPG. (RPG died quickly) [this was before Ginny's name was revealed]

What we can call you OOC: Erica
Character Name: Virginia Anne Weasley
Nickname: Ginny
Age/Year: 14/fourth
House: Gryffindor
Wand: Dragon heartstring, Rowan, 10 3/4 inches
Pet: Shares small owl, Pigwidgeon, with Ron

Appearance: Like the rest of the Weasley clan, Ginny has vivid, firey red hair. Falling half-way down her back, Ginny's thick hair is quite straight, much to her contempt. Her quick eyes are a deep blue, the color of the sea on a calm day. Framed by long lashes, they have a glimmer, that is similar to the one that can be found in her brothers' Fred and George, when she's in a mischievous mood. Her pale complexion is dusted with a smattering of freckles. And Ginny doesn't know whether to hate them or love them. Ginny is built tall and thin, like her brothers Bill, Percy and Ron. But just because she's thin doesn't mean she's delicate. A childhood of having to fend against six brothers has given her quite a mean right-hook.

Personality: Unlike her brother Ron, Ginny is very patient. When her friends come to her with their problems, she lets them take their time, even if she had other things to do. Like all her brothers, Ginny has a healthy sense of humor. Though it may not be as strong as Fred and George's, Ginny has a mischievous side that shows on occasion. Ginny's strongest traits and probably her courage and integrity. She'll stand up for her friends and family, even though she's not as good when it comes to standing up for herself.

Background/History: Ginny is the youngest child of Arthur and Molly Weasley. Arthur workes in the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Department in the Ministry of Magic, and Molly is a homemaker. The Weasleys live in The Burrow, a ramshackle house of five stories near the village of Ottery St. Catchpole. Behind the house is a stretch of woods the Weasley children played in often and an old rock quarry half filled with water that was off limits. The family is relatively poor, but they still manage to send all their kids to Hogwarts. Considered to be one of the prominent Wizarding families, their lack of money and acceptance of non-pureblood wizards and even Muggles, makes people like the Malfoys look down on them. Besides being the baby of the Weasley family, Ginny's also the only girl. Her older brothers (Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, and Ron) are extremely overprotective of her, but she also has to put up with their good natured teasing. Being the youngest does have it's advantages, as Molly often will take Ginny's side in matters with her siblings. Ginny had a happy childhood, never imagining it could be shattered. For shatter it did. In her first year she was bewitched by the diary of Tom Riddle and forced to carry out the attacks on several students, including her brother's friend Hermione. She found herself in terrifying situations: memory lapses, and waking up with feathers and chicken blood around her. At some point she realized what was happening and tried to get rid of the diary, but it unwilling found its way back into her hands. After Harry rescued her from the Chamber of Secrets, Ginny realized that innocence was behind her. She now knew there was still pure evil in the world, and she was now dead set against it for her own reasons. And when a Weasley makes up their mind, it's very hard to change it.
At the beginning of her third year, Ginny was rather excited about the Triwizard tournament. But after the novelity of the idea began to wear off (mainly after the first task) Ginny saw just how dangerous the tournament really was. After the horrifying conclusion to the final task, Ginny came to understand that evil was not going to give them all the time in the world to prepare. That summer, she began studying. Even though she couldn't use her wand during the summer, she poured over her school books, reteaching herself things she had forgotten and learning the things the teachers hadn't gone over. Borrowing her older brothers' books as well, Ginny looked through those for spells she could teach herself once school started again. Eventually, she was going to need these spells, and she wanted to know them well. Also during the summer, Ginny figured out a funny thing. She didn't have a crush on Harry anymore. It was somewhat a relief, as it meant she'd be able to talk to Harry without blushing furiously.
