1 How do you paint them?
There are several ways to paint "madcats".The simplest of these is to employ traditional techniques ,paintbrush , pallet knife and wombat , combined with use of airbrush and fingers.
Alternatively , it is possible to take a sheet of paper , screw it into a ball and then drop it in a paint pot . On unfurling the sodden paper ,often a recognisable image is achieved.(see "How to paint a "madcat ".)
2 Why cats?
Many people want to know why I paint cats. I did start by painting grains of salt , actual size , but I found that cats are far more commercial.
