Some Tales of the Unexpected
Should any objection be raised by the originator of this photograph, it will of course be deleted.
As the above photograph shows, all snakes can and do bite, but
With regular and gentle handling from a young age a bite should be a very rare event,
but it can happen, therefore you should always be prepared for the unexpected.

There are 2 main reasons why a snake will bite. It will either be a defensive move or a feeding reaction. Be aware of your snake's mood at all times.

If it does happen the first rule is Don't Panic.
Second, don't try to pull the snake off. You will not only do more damage to yourself but you could also cause your snake a great deal of harm.

As I have never been bitten by any of my snakes, I don't feel qualified to comment any further. I would like to hear of your experience and how you dealt with it. Then, with your permission, I'll link your story to this page. In that way we can all learn from each other.

If you have photos to back them up, even better.
