| Allright so you got here and you want to play one of these awsome songs but you just dont know what each number and on some line means. Well, Ill briefly explain it for you if your having this problem. Your guitar neck has six strings. The lowest sounding one (the one closest to you when your playing) is the E. The one right below that is A, followed by: D,G,B,e (the little e is the highest and smallest string). So if a tab looks like this: (Kryptonite) e- B- 3 0 G- 4 4 0 0 2 D- 4 4 0 2 A- 2 2 0 E- 3 It means you simply press down on each string that it points out and on the fret that it tells you to (represented by the single number for example: the first is 2 on the A string or second string down). I know it will be kindav hard at the beginning but just repeat over and over and over until you cry from your fingers hurting or until you got it. Well, If you cant figure it out from this I guess guitar is not for you or you just have to make up your own songs because this is the best I know how to tell you. One more thing. Dont try to play this tab or any tab with just your pointy finger and middle finger or whatever because its just impossible. For Kryptonite (the tab above) you have to use every finger so and how you do it is start out with your pointy finger on the A string(second string) and on the second fret, ring finger on the D string (3rd string) on the 4th fret, pinky on the G string (4th string down) on the 4th fret, and your middle finger on the B string (5th string) at the 3rd fret. By doing this your making a basic power chord and all your doing is hitting dragging the pick down and hitting each string. And thats all you do for this tab.
