| ADULT SIZE: 6 - 12 feet. LIFE SPAN: 20+ years. SET UP: Needs a very large enclosure, humid, 85-90F hot spot and a night time temp of 70F and a large water bowl for drinking and soaking. DIET: Pre-killed mice, rats, chicks, rabbits. NOTES: Shedding problems can occur if the snake is not kept warm and humid. Babies are a bit 'nippy' but should calm down with careful handling! Boa's are generally considered very tame. Fresh water should be given each day and their enclosure should be disinfected at least once a week. |
