I rescued Twiggie from the middle of the road after a heavy rain storm. It's amazing, even now, how I noticed something so small in the middle of the lane. Especially, something that small that could have easily been mistaken for grass growing up from a crack in the pavement. I brought her home and kept her safe for a few days until I found a good spot (away from traffic) to release her. But, not before I snapped a few pictures of her in all her beauty. |

This picture from the first page shows Twiggie in the natural habit I set up for her. She loved to lay on/hide in that old piece of wood. |

Before I set Twiggie up with her natural cage, I let her hang out in this half-way tank. She liked to bury up in the pine shavings. |

Here is a picture of Twiggie in hand. After handling the larger snakes, it was hard to hang on to this little "twig". |

She was small but strong. Here she is perching on my hand and stretching out for the tank. |
