More of Oliver
Oliver was given to by an associate who knew I had snakes. His owner was moving and could not take the snake with her to her new home. I gladly stepped in and assumed the care of this aged Ball Python. He is roughly 19 years old according to my best estimations. He is a happy, health snake. Though, sometimes he gets a little overzealous at feeding time. He too is fed prekilled prey items; his diet consists of carefully selected mice. Though incredibly docile in nature, he is a mild, non-painful reminder that a snake can never truly be tamed. He is only 4 foot 5 inches in length and weighs a mere 7 pounds.
This is one of the first pictures of Oliver. He was enjoying the warmth of the walk-way bricks and the coolness of the fresh clover bed.
Isn't that just the cutest profile picture you've ever seen. I love the way he has his head popped out from the clover as if to say "SURPRISE"
Here is Oliver hiding behind the geenery in his tank. He just loves to hide.
Oliver still gets a little zealous with his meals.
You can see how the moss works as a wonderful substate for snakes...it's soft, increases humidity, and helps to show off their coloration.
Plus, it comes with all kinds of sights and smells for them to investigate.
