More of the Snake_Goddess & Her Babies
During my five year sentence within the confines of a small Mississippi Delta University (far, far away from my hometown, family, friends, and former way of life), I slowly evolved and adapted into the specimen I am today. Homesick, and lacking the benefits of a green thumb, I turned to animals as an outlet for my frustration. My landlord, being strict on the type of pet said "no fleas, no noise, and no mess." A snake seemed like a logical choice, and an undying devotion to the plight of reptiles was born.

I began devouring and absorbing as much reptile-related information as possible. And, after overcoming my shyness and empowered by knowledge, I composed my materials and references and started giving impromptu speeches to anyone who would listen. Before long these minispeeches gained popularity and I began speaking in Elementary, Middle, and High School classrooms. Within months, I was guest lecturing and holding demonstrations within some of the Psychology, Herpetology, and Biology classes at the local university...even the local papers and radio stations bought into the reptilian frenzy I created. The series became known as "Dispelling the Prejudice Against Reptiles", and I often used a very delicate, dainty feminine appearance to contrast the powerful, intimidating appearance of the snakes I presented. I hope you enjoy this photographic documentary of the simultaneous evolution of me and my babies.
This is one of the first pictures of me and Dameon. You can see here how I used the delicate lace dress to contrast the appearance of the snake.
At this point in our relationship, Dameon was just the right size for cuddling.
This is the same snake a year later. You can see the size difference and how my rehabilitation efforts really paid off.
Here we are on the set of Delta Country 92.9, one of the local radio stations.
Our trip to the radio station turned out to be a hair raising experience for some of the staff memebers.
A more recent photo. This shows exactly how far we've come from early beginnings. Though a different snake that the early photos, the devotion is still the same.
Taken at the same time as the last photo. This is just another example of the bond between me and my babies.
