The Unsung Heroes & The Forgotten
The Unsung Heroes

Here's to the truck drivers who drive day in and day out to deliver the products we need, to the stocker who fills the shelves, and to the clerk who rings up sale.

Here to the steel mill workers and auto makers who provide us with transportation, to the mechanics for keeping us on the road getting to where we need to be, to the policeman for making sure our drive is safe, to EMS for being there when things go wrong, and to the doctor and the nurse for take care of us in our time of need.

Here's to the farmers and ranchers who raise the food we place on our tables, to the crop dusters, engineers, and inspectors who ensure the quality of the food we eat, to the store owners for making these products available to us, and the waitress, cooks, and busers who make it possible to enjoy a night out.

Here's to all of those people who work behind the scenes and who are so easily over looked...We couldn't make it with out you. God Bless...and Thanks for keeping this great country running.
The Forgotten. . . .

So here's to all the soldiers
Who have ever died in vain
The insane locked up in themselves
The homeless down on Main
To those who stand on empty shores
And spit against the wind
And those who wait forever
For ships that don't come in.

(from Joe Diffie's "Ships That Don't Come In")

You know, so many times in life we gripe about the things we have without ever stopping to think there are those without.

Look at the world around you and be thankful for the little things. If your reading this, then be thankful you can read and can see. If you hear angry words around you, give thanks that you can hear. If your family upsets you, be thankful you have a family.

Remember the little things
