Meet Dameon
Dameon is . . .
Fun Facts:
a male Boa Constrictor. He is the first snake of my collection. He is a very beautiful, docile snake. He is roughly 9+ feet in length and weighs around 30 lbs. He is very richly pigmented and his scales have an irridescent sheen like "oil on water" when bathed in sunlight.
Dameon is a male boa constrictor that has a very rich and dark pigment.
Nicknamed "Big D" since he is my largest male boa constrictor.
He is over 9 feet and weighs about 35 lbs.
More about my pet:
He had been abused prior to my obtaining him. He was underfed, underheld, and under-nurtured. After weeks of intensive hand-ons and feeding, He began to tame down nicely. And, within months he was accepting prekilled prey items and enjoying the frequent handling session. Originally named "Ned", Dameon was the perfect "beginner" snake and has taught me a great deal about the dedication and responsibiltiy it takes to own a large constrictor.
He loves to accompany me on my lectures about reptiles
He is a heavy eater of pre-killed rats and has not struck anything in 4 years.
