| The President freezes Funding to Israel 14th August, 2002 |
| US President George Bush put a freeze on $200 million in anti-terrorism assistance for Israel yesterday. However, the President said that he would turn to Congress to compose specific amendments in order to pass on the funds. Since Congress is currently in recess until the end of August, Israel may not recceive the money until some time next year. AIFA calls the President to transfer the US Anti-Terror Aid to Israel without delay, to help Israel war on terrorism. *** |
