'm lost
losing
the things that made me want to do this
the confidence, vague as it was
I have this idea
about nailing my notebooks open
or closed
crucifying them
cutting them
but they're all given away
and I'd never do it anyway
I don't know crap about art
which makes me wonder why I'm a poet
or
trying
to be one.
