Number

Safety lies in numbers
At least
That's what I've heard
But numbers
Never
Had the power
Of the spoken word.
On paper words are nothing
Till they are read
As are numbers.
Worthless.
But
To read
A word from
The paper
Is to speak it
In your head
Like a song
On the radio.
A note
A word
A number
(Not necessarily in that order)
For some, music is life
(I see.)
For some, words are life.
(For me.)
But those who think in
Figures and
Equations
I have never understood
And won't
(I think.)
