P is for Pretzel
Barbells
We are a second grade class from Huckleberry Hill School in Brookfield, CT. We are located about 60 miles
southwest of Hartford and northwest of New
York City. Our class was studying geometry in math. We read The Greedy Triangle by Marilyn Burns. We made different polygons and 3D shapes out of marshmallows and toothpicks. We thought about how we could turn our creations into healthy snacks. We got some part skim mozzarella cheese sticks and fat free thin pretzel sticks and tried to make some triangles. Unfortunately, the triangles didn’t want to stay together, but from that effort cheesy pretzel barbells were born! Pretzel Barbells Ingredients:
String cheese Pretzel sticks Directions: 1. First you have to wash your hands.
2. Then you have to take a knife and slice the string cheese so you have two pieces. 3. Then cut it again so you have four pieces. 4. Next take a pretzel stick. 5. Then take two even pieces of string cheese and put one on each side.
