Ms. Pam Spann's 1st Grade
West Elementary
Daingerfield, Texas

We read Gregory, the Terrible Eater by Mitchell Sharmat and discussed trying new foods and not just eating the same things. We looked at the food pyramid and discussed how many servings of each a child needs. We made Yodeling Yak's Yummy Yogurt and everybody agreed to try it. Only one did not really like it but he did eat several bites. This recipe is from Alphabet Cooking Cards by Cheryl A. Olmsted. This a book of recipes with each letter of the alphabet. Each recipe is broken down so each child can make an individual serving.
