| WELCOME TO MY FIBERGLASS PAGE | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Car audio has always been an interest of mine, as well as an interest of my friends. Using fiberglass to build custom speaker enclosures is one way to use elements of design in a real-life application. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is the mold of the rear corner of the trunk. An area was taped off, which prevents the fiberglass from sticking to the carpet. Then the tape was covered with tin foil so that the fiberglass comes apart from the tape once it has dried. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| To mount the speaker in the enclosure, an MDF (medium density fiberboard) ring was made. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| It was rough working on this project...this is my buddy after he stole a beverage from my fridge. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| My dog shared his skills with us also. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This is a picture of the mold once the excess fiberglass has been removed via a Dremel tool. Also, the finished ring is cut out so we can mount it in place. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
